Born on November 11th, 1914, this is the 100th birthday celebration of an amazing and blessed life - my beautiful grandmother, Charlotte Hawkins Bryan. Hard to believe she's really a centenarian now!

Although dementia has taken her beautiful mind away from us, she is still fairly healthy, and she is absolutely still loved and adored by all of her family and friends. She can still laugh and talk about things from long ago. And even though we can't see the things she sees most of the time, we can still engage in conversation with her in her world, for as long as that memory lasts.

For me, it's a very precious thing to know that I can still hold her hand and tell her I love her, and she is still able to say that she loves me, too. Even if she doesn't necessarily remember who I am. She is still my Grandma and every moment of her life is a thing to cherish and be humbled by.

It was such a wonderful and moving experience to be able to gather together to celebrate her amazing life with so many family and friends whose lives she's touched.

Thank you Momma, Auntie J, and Uncle Jimmy for putting in so much time and effort to make this such a beautiful and special day.
